This Company invents Wireless Toilet Bidet and now reaches $1,026,906 Funding

Sonny invents Wireless Toilet Bidet.

“Mother nature’s call” could be as peaceful as staying in the countryside or disastrous like a nuclear explosion. Either of these depends on how the food you intake would behave during the process of digestion.

Calm or troublesome, cleaning our rear-end is always a hassle. Even if it’s a personal business; we just do not want to deal with the stink, how disgusting it is and the worst part is avoiding to touch any of that fecal matter while washing ourselves!

Realism

The United States used five-hundred billion gallons of water and cut off fifty million trees last year to mass-produce toilet-papers. With this project, it can reduce US’s consumption of toiletries and help environmental advocates in taking care our nature and for the conservation of our natural resources.

Difference with other ways of cleaning bottoms

How we usually clean our buttocks is either wiping it with toilet-paper or flushable wipes. But it has downsides that make some people invest to using bidet. Toilet-paper does not ensure a hundred percent clean butt whereas flushable wipes almost does the same thing but it clogs the sewage plants in cities that could cause flooding when storm fall.

Bidet, however, is preferably hygienic but it’s not a good solution for conserving water and the expensive installment for others makes it impractical thus resorting to just using toilet-papers and wipes.

This Start-up project is convenient for people who like to travel and “drop a dookie” at the same time. The size of it is modeled to minimize the space that it needs to fill in your luggage.

What is Sonny and how does it work?

Meet Sonny! A portable bidet that can shoot out water just like a normal bidet. It is literally a victory in your hands.

What makes Sonny convenient is it does not need an expensive installment. All you have to do is charge, fill it with water, follow the rest of the manual and it should do the job for your behind without worrying to get your hands dirty.

Moreover, they are looking for someone who could demonstrate its usage. Comment down below if you are interested. Thanks you!

This Start-Up gets CA$ 1, 024, 477 fund from Kickstarter Community

Could you imagine growing 90 kinds of fruits and veggies simultaneously inside your home? You might think that it requires a huge area to plant those vegetations, or how does it work, if there’s any. This Kickstarter backed-up project will give you an idea how they revolutionize sector of agriculture and future of indoor gardening.

Meet O-Garden Smart. This kind of indoor garden/vegetation system allows you to produce fresh fruits and veggies inside your home. It supplements your grocery shopping needs by producing sufficient supply of veggies.

Photo from O-Garden Smart

The good news about this project is that weather conditions doesn’t affect your plants. You never have to worry about the seasonal production of what and when you grow your vegetations. You have annual supply of your favorite fruits and veggies.

How does it work

Just place your seeds on planting cups and put it on top of the nursery platform below the rotating wheel. When it sprouts, place it on the rotating wheel and wait its produce. Underneath the rotating wheel and the nursery are trays that contains water for the plants.

The rotating wheel can hold 60 plants while the nursery box below can hold 30 plants simultaneously.

Photo from O-Garden Smart

The LED light gives-off enough light and the watering system provides sufficient amount of water for optimal plant production. This indoor gardening system ensures no pesticides, herbicides and wastes. It is chemical-free plants and 100% safe to consume.

Verdict

The problems with the traditional gardening are time and space consuming, it has no guaranteed harvest, wasteful, lots of pests and seasonal growing. On the other side, the problem with hydroponics is that it is difficult to maintain, time and space consuming and worst, complicated to set-up.

The scarcity of land in urban areas results to insufficient plants to grow. Fruits and vegetables come from outside of these urban areas just to sustain their living. This innovation solves the shortage of crop lands in metropolitan areas.

With this indoor gardening system, you don’t need to travel to the nearest store to buy fresh fruits and veggies. Because of its indoor nature, you can harvest it directly anytime. Moreover, you can monitor how it grows and easily decide what to plant.

O-Garden system eliminates the traditional gardening and hydroponics system problems. Because it is indoor, there is no seasonal harvest. It’s compatibility and small-scale size made it easy to use, easy to assemble and low maintenance. It has automatic watering and lighting system securing your timely harvest. Lastly, it is 100% organic which doesn’t affect the environment, has sustainable design and saves time and money.

Reasons Why I Hate Working in the Philippine Government

There are huge numbers of individuals which are jobless right now. Despite of their special skills and good credentials, looking for a decent job is hard for them to find. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, 5.2% of the total number of Filipinos are unemployed compared to 5.3% January of this year.

These numbers might be good indication. However, there are still lots of work to be done. A few weeks ago, SUCs performed commencement exercises which adds to the total unemployment rate. These graduates are well-equipped with knowledge to deal with the present trends.

Competent individuals aspire to work in the private industry. Yet, some professionals chose to work in the government. In this article, we will show you why applying for a job in the government is a must and a better choice than anything else.

Security of tenure

Filling up vacant position in the government permanently makes you, somehow, untouchable. Getting fired suddenly is tough due to the codes implemented by the government. However, ignorance of the law excuses no one. Disobedience of the code of ethics might remove you from office.

In private corporations, once their institution faced financial illness, there is a great possibility that you might get fired anytime.

Affiliations

There are seminars in the government. These seminars will exposed you to high-ranking government officials. If you’re a good chatter, you have the chance to get affiliated with them.

You might be able to talk and chat with prominent employees which could assist you in times of need.

Attending seminars also imply the expense of your travel. That is, cash allowances are provided.

Benefits and contributions

The Philippine government established Social Security System (SSS) for private employees and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for government employees. These branches of the government were created to protect their families against unnecessary situations.

Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) or commonly knows as Pag-IBIG fund was also created to provide loans to government employees. Its common purpose is to assist employees and aid financial assistance through calamity, housing and multi-purpose loans

A financial health assisting body was also created thru PhilHealth. Its main purpose is to assist employees with practical means of paying for adequate medical care in the Philippines.

Summary

Reasons above are the most common rewards you would receive from being a permanent government employee. Aside from the above list, benefits like Personal Economic Relief Allowance (PERA) / Additional Compensation Allowanc (ACA), 13th and 14th month pay and clothing allowance are also guaranteed.

There are also downsides when applying and working in the government. I am going to share it with you these coming weeks, so stay tuned.

How I Earn $600 By Just Drafting

Nowadays, an average first level employee’s monthly gross income is ranging from Php 8,000.00 to Php 10,000.00 ($160 – $200) with a net take-home pay of not less than Php 4,000.00 ($80). This take-home pay was calculated based on my monthly compensation and deductions (utility bills, healthcare, government taxes and loans), so do not brag anything about it.

As for me, this monthly income of mine is insufficient for my needs and wants. How could I purchase luxurious things such as new kicks, new gadgets or new clothes? So, I decided to utilize my skills and capabilities, as a result, I have been earning much more than my basic monthly paychecks.

SIDE HUSTLE

Today, many people are planning to build and construct their very first house. It is quite an expensive investment, however, building your house is a privilege. And that is how I get into the community of the side hustlers.

“Side hustle” or “sideline”, commonly known as part-time job here in the Philippines have been part of my daily living since my entrance to the world of unemployed experts. Computer Engineer by profession, backed-up with credentials, for me, I find myself poorly compensated.

That is the main reason why I ended up earning additional Php 30,000 ($600) this first quarter of 2019.

LEGAL ASPECT

It is mandated by the Philippine government that before construction of a residential building or any kind of structure, the owner or the contractor must first secure building permit or locational clearance where they are planning to erect the building.

Before securing building permit, it is required to submit necessary documents to see if the building corresponds with the National Building Code. These documents include the Architectural Plan, Structural Plan, Electrical Plan and Sanitary plan.

There are huge numbers of Filipinos which I believe does not know the law regarding the issuance of building permit before the construction of their houses, resulting to authorities’ filing of “notice of illegal construction” to the owner. Once they received the illegal construction document, they must comply with requirements or else, they could face the consequences.

THE PROFESSIONALS

During my college days, we had this subject “AUTOCAD”. This application helps us engineers to design computer networks and systems. For architects and civil engineers, this application is being use to design home structures, for electrical engineer and sanitary engineer, this is being used for electrical wiring and sanitary layouts.

There is a big difference between hiring board-passer professionals like architect and a board-passer civil engineer than to hire an expert draftsman or under-board architect and / or under-board civil engineer. First is the professional fee which is more expensive than usual draftsman. Second is their availability. These board-passer professionals work in high-salary-compensating job outside our locality.

With that said, I’ve been consulted by some individuals to help them in drafting and providing plans. So, I grabbed this chance to get paid. My professional service fee ranges from Php 6, 000.00 – Php 10,000.00 ($120 – $200) for 1-storey building and Php 15,000.00 – Php 25,000.00 ($300 – $500) for 2-storey building.

That amount of money covers the plans with sign and seal of the authorized professional. Architectural plan signed and sealed by an architect, structural plan signed and sealed by a civil engineer, electrical plan signed and sealed by a professional electrical engineer and sanitary plan signed and sealed by a sanitary engineer (master plumber).

ADD-ONS

Of course, a written agreement between me and my client is provided to ensure its legality. What’s written in the agreement are the scope of work and payment schedule.

For clarification, this post is how I earn some bucks to satisfy my wants. It does not intend to degrade any profession or steal any form of professionalism or professional work.

In the end, I advise you to always consult for professional services regardless of their professional fees. It is worth the money, always.

Shout out to all draftsmen who do the same things as mine. Comment down below your experiences and share it with the world.

5 Luxurious Things that are Completely Worth Your Money

We all like to be smart with our money. But that doesn’t always mean picking the least luxurious choice. In fact, sometimes the costlier item or experience can be the one that is most worth your hard-earned cash, while the cheapest can be the major waste.

Most of us spend money on things we don’t really care about at the expense of the things we do without even realizing it.

Stefanie O’Connell, financial expert and author of ” The Broke and Beautiful Life,” told Business Insider.

So step one is defining your priorities, then tracking your expenditure to see if you’re actually spending in alignment with those priorities, and making adjustments as needed.

You should also consider the added value something can bring to your life. “Before spending a lot of money on an item or service, it may be good to know what value it brings to you,” Roger Ma, certified financial planner and founder of Life Laid Out, told Business Insider.

Here are six expensive things, from financial experts that are completely worth the money.

1. EDUCATION

About 70% of students graduate from university with student loan debt, and there have been plenty of debates on whether getting a higher education is even worth it. Despite this, Ma said that education is most definitely worth spending money on.

“An investment in yourself is typically worth it,” Ma said.

Increasing your knowledge could ultimately increase your human capital — that is, how much money you’re able to command from your employer. Besides, learning new material keeps life interesting and exciting.

2. TRAVEL

Travel can be upright for your body and your overall well-being, NBC reports. O’Connell said that it’s something she spends money on herself. “I love to splurge on travel because it brings me joy,” O’Connell said.

3. CLOTHES THAT ACTUALLY FIT

If your clothes don’t fit well, they won’t look good, irrespective of what designer made them. So instead of thinking about what brands to splurge on, think about how to make something a custom fit.

“I think fit is much more important than the name on the tag,” Ma said. “No matter what price you pay for your clothes, make sure they fit.”

That means paying for modifications, such as shortened sleeves or pant legs, he said. “Nice-fitting clothes make an enormous difference.”

4. Services that save you time

Both Ma and O’Connell agree on splurging on services that help save you time. “Time is the one thing you can’t get back,” Ma said.

If you work in a time-intensive job, then outsourcing certain services could be worth it, including cleaning, painting, and general house repair.

My boyfriend and I both use meal subscription services like Hello Fresh, and we recently hired someone to clean our apartment once a month.

We’re at the point in our lives where time is our most valuable resource, so paying for things that help us buy back some of our time makes a lot of sense.

5. HEALTH ITEMS

Who wouldn’t want to invest in his or her own health? For O’Connell, it’s the most vital expense.

“I’m big on healthy things — group fitness classes, fresh produce, and the occasional fresh-pressed juice,”

O’Connell said.

“Beyond my physical health, I find these expenses provide a ton of value to my mental health.”

7 Things Bosses Do Why Great Employees Quit

Supervisors tend to blame their turnover problems on everything under the sun while ignoring the crux of the matter: People don’t leave jobs; they leave managers.

The sad thing is that this can easily be avoided. All that’s required is a new perspective and some extra effort on the manager’s part.

First, we need to understand the seven worst things that managers do that send good people packing.

1. They overwork people

Nothing burns virtuous employees out quite like overworking them. Overworking good personnel is perplexing; it makes them feel as if they’re being penalized for great performance. Overworking employees is also counterproductive.

If you must increase how much work your talented employees are doing, you’d better increase their status as well. Gifted employees will take on a bigger workload, but they won’t stay if their job stifles them in the process. Raises, promotions, and title-changes are all acceptable ways to increase workload.

If you only increase workload because people are talented, without changing a thing, they will seek another work that gives them what they deserve.

2. They do not recognize contributions and reward good work

It’s easy to undervalue the power of a pat on the back, especially with top players who are intrinsically motivated. Everyone likes kudos, none more so than those who work hard and give their all.

Supervisors need to communicate with their people to find out what makes them feel good (for some, it’s a raise; for others, it’s public recognition) and then to reward them for a job well done. With top performers, this will happen often if you’re doing it right.

3. they do not care about their employees

More than half of people who leave their jobs do so because of their relationship with their manager. Smart companies make certain their managers know how to balance being professional with being human.

These are the bosses who celebrate an employee’s accomplishment, empathize with those going through hard times, and challenge people, even when it hurts. Bosses who fail to really care will always have high turnover rates.

4. they hire and promote the wrong people

Good, hardworking employees want to work with like-minded professionals. When bosses don’t do the hard work of hiring good people, it’s a major demotivator for those stuck working alongside them.

Promoting the wrong people is even worse. When you work your tail off only to get passed over for a promotion that’s given to someone who glad-handed their way to the top, it’s a massive insult. No wonder it makes good people leave.

5. They do not let people pursue their passions

Talented employees are passionate. Providing opportunities for them to chase their passions advances their productivity and job fulfillment. But many managers want people to work within a little box. These managers fear that productivity will deteriorate if they let people expand their focus and pursue their passions.

This fear is unfounded. Studies show that people who are able to pursue their passions at work experience flow, a euphoric state of mind that is five times more productive than the norm.

6. They fail to develop people’s skills

When managers are asked about their inattention to employees, they try to excuse themselves, using words such as “trust,” “autonomy,” and “empowerment.” This is complete nonsense. Good managers manage, no matter how talented the employee. They pay attention and are constantly listening and giving feedback.

Management may have a beginning, but it certainly has no end. When you have a talented employee, it’s up to you to keep finding areas in which they can improve to expand their skill set. The most talented employees want feedback — more so than the less talented ones — and it’s your job to keep it coming. If you don’t, your best people will grow bored and complacent.

7. They fail to challenge people intellectually

Great bosses contest their employees to finish things that seem inconceivable at first. Instead of setting mundane, incremental goals, they set lofty goals that push people out of their comfort zones.

Then, respectable managers do everything in their power to help them succeed. When talented and intelligent people find themselves doing things that are too easy or boring, they seek other jobs that will challenge their intellects.

If you want your best people to stay, you need to think carefully about how you treat them. While good employees are as tough as nails, their talent gives them an abundance of options. You need to make them want to work for you.

10 Ways to Save Money When You are Alone

If you’re living on your own for the first time or contemplating living by yourself, you need to be ready to make some big changes in order to sustain in the long run.

Living on your own often means letting go of what you’re used to and finally growing up. Your mom will no longer be there to do your laundry or cook your meals. You will be in charge of the household bills and the sanitation of your space. In a nutshell, you have to do almost everything yourself and it’s not going to be inexpensive.

1. Get the basics first

Buy what you actually need and the rest can come later. To save money, try ask your family members if they have any extra items you could use. Maybe they have a sofa they don’t want, or an unused coffee machine that’s been collecting dust in the store room.

“IT’S NOT YOUR SALARY THAT MAKES YOU RICH, IT’S YOUR SPENDING HABITS.”

2. learn to cook if you are not

Instead of ordering takeout or buying food outside, learn how to cook. It’s not only healthier, but you’ll save more too. Try to find simple recipes online. Some meals don’t necessitate a lot of ingredients and are certainly easy to prepare.

3. PLAN YOUR MEALS

Plan what you want to have for the week and stick to the items you have on your grocery list. To avoid wastage, take note of the ‘best before’ or ‘use by’ dates and cook the ones that are about to expire first.

“DO NOT SAVE WHAT IS LEFT AFTER SPENDING, BUT SPEND WHAT IS LEFT AFTER SAVING.” — WARREN BUFFETT

4. USE YOUR FREEZER

Meat aside, preserve extra food in the freezer instead of tossing them away. You can always heat them up when you’re too lazy to cook or don’t have enough ingredients to prepare another meal. You can also put certain dairy products in the freezer if you want them to last longer.

5. DO YOUR OWN LAUNDRY

Instead of wasting your money on the dry cleaners, do your own laundry. A washing machine may be expensive, but you will save a lot in the long run. Don’t spend your money on a dryer either. Just get a stand and dry your garments the old-fashioned way.

“MONEY DOES NOT DICTATE YOUR LIFESTYLE. IT’S WHAT YOU DO TO GET IT AND HOW YOU MANAGE FINANCES THAT DETERMINES YOUR LIFESTYLE.” — WAYNE CHIRISA

6. BUDGET

Have a weekly or monthly budget and try to stick to it. Always remember to update your list so you can keep track on your expenditures. Preferably, 50% of your profits should go to what you need. 30% can go to your desires and the rest for your savings.

7. GET RID OF UNNECESSARY SUBSCRIPTION

Magazines. Cable. Music streaming. Gaming. If you don’t need them, unsubscribe or find cheaper alternatives. You can also stop your subscription for newsletters from clothing brands, hotels, and others to help resist spending temptations.

“MONEY SPEAKS ONLY ONE LANGUAGE. IF YOU SAVE ME TODAY, I WILL SAVE YOU TOMORROW.”

8. LIVE BY YOUR MEANS

Spend less than what you earn. Don’t spend on what you can’t afford. Swiping your credit card is easy and convenient, but it will lead to extreme debts. If you own a few cards, cancel them and just keep one for emergencies. If you have to use your card, make sure you pay it back immediately.

9. FIND LOW-PRICED ALTERNATIVES FOR MONTHLY PLANS

If you’re used to luxurious mobile and Internet plans, you might want to consider looking for inexpensive options. Basic plans can be sufficient. Lesser known Internet providers can be just as good, if not better. Do your research and only pay for what you really need.

“THE WINNING FORMULA FOR BEING FINANCIALLY HEALTHY IS TO SPEND LESS AND SAVE MORE. SIMPLE.” — AMANDA STEINBERG

10. Try going out less

Instead of having expensive nights out with your friends every other week, invite them to your house. You can plan potlucks, game or movie nights, and even barbecues. If you’re a football fan, you can always get your buddies to come over instead of watching every big game outside.

How to Tell Your Girlfriend She’s Not Invited to a Road Trip

Whether you admit it or not, we’ve all had those days when we just want to drive out either on our own or with friends, but not with our partners. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

So, in times like these, what is the perfect way to tell your significant other that you want to hit the road without her company? Say a trip with the barkada? How do you not incur the wrath of a suspicious girlfriend, or worse, a neutral and seemingly harmless, “Ikaw, kung gusto mo. Bahala ka.” (Tip: No, don’t fall for it.)

We’ve asked women on how their boyfriends should tell them about a road trip that they’re clearly not a part of. Here’s what they said:

1) First things first: Don’t lie.

Don’t tell your girl that it’s going to be a company outing or a family-only trip when you’re really going to Zambales and binge on beer with your barkada. Destinations and participants should be revealed, ETA back home should be strictly followed, and updates must be constant.

2) Play down the destination.

Not a lie, but look for small inconveniences that would repel your girlfriend from wanting to join in the first place. Make the destination less alluring as much as possible. For example: “Malamok dun ‘tsaka sabi nila walang malinis na CR.”

3) Offer a low-key bribe.

Once you’ve modulated the destination, you can say you’ll drive for her all the way there next time and make it a road trip date with just the two of you. But for now, say: “Bawi ako sa ‘yo. Kain tayo dun sa gusto mong resto pagbalik ko, my treat.

4) Blame the bropact.

When it’s an all-boys trip, make sure that every person follows and that no girlfriend shall tag along. Then be remorseful to your lady and blame that damned bropact. Plus points if the point of the trip is to help a friend move on from a failed relationship. Something like, “Dadamayan na muna namin siya. Baka ma-inggit lang kapag sumama ka. Kawawa naman.”

5) Explain that you were just invited yourself (if you really were).

You really can’t impose a plus one if you were just invited, right? Also, if you were planning on hitching a ride, who are you to claim another car space? “Nayaya lang. Nag-offer nga si brad na kotse n’ya na gagamitin. Dyahe pag tumanggi pa ako. Promise, dalhin kita dun soon, okay?”

6) Bring up that thing she complains about in your car.

The A/C is not working properly? The seats need serious cleaning? Interior is starting to smell funky? The ride is too bumpy? Tell her that you’re worried that she’ll be uncomfortable during the whole trip. “Alam mo naman na sira air-con ko. Imagine, 12 hours na byahe, kaya mo ba ‘yunMaiinip ka lang sa byahe, babe.”

7) Make it clear that there will be no stopovers.

When you have friends who enjoy driving, there’s that possibility of pushing it all the way with minimal pitstops. “Balak namin tumigil lang sa mga damuhan para umihi. Tapos larga na ulit, paano pag sumama ka?”

Disclaimer: We do not guarantee optimistic results, but you can try. Remember, lying will only make it hard the next time. But, should you have tips of your own that yielded positive outcome, please feel free to share.

5 Best Tips of Warren Buffett for Investing in the Stock Market

“Stocks [have] been so much more attractive than bonds for a long time now.”Warren Buffet – Squawk Box 2017

At 88, Warren Buffett’s white hair, bushy eyebrows and aw-shucks grin hardly make for an intimidating appearance. But he is one of the most powerful investors in the world, thanks to his Midas Touch on Wall Street.

Buffett is worth $82.5 billion, according to Forbes, making him the third richest person alive (behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his friend and Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates).

Here are five of his best bits of investing wisdom on how he does it.

1. Investing is a long game

“Now if they think they can play[dance] in and out [of the market] and buy and sell stocks, they ought to head for Las Vegas. I mean, they can’t do that,” Buffett told “Squawk Box” October 2014. “But what they can do is determinate that there’s a number of solid American businesses, a great number of them, and if you own a cross section of them and particularly if you buy them over time, you basically can’t lose.”

Investing is a long game, he says.

I will say that in 10 or 20 or 30 years, I think stocks will be a lot higher than they are now. ”

Buffett has also likened buying stocks to owning more physical assets. “If you own stocks like you’d own a farm or apartment house, you don’t get a quote on those every day or every week,” Buffett told “Squawk Box.”

2. Diversify

To protect your money, buy stocks in several different kinds of firms and spread your purchases out over time.

“The best thing with stocks, actually, is to buy them consistently over time,” Buffett told “Squawk Box” in February 2017. “You want to spread the risk as far as the specific companies you’re in by owning a diversified group, and you diversify over time by buying this month, next month, the year after, the year after, the year after.”

3. Stocks are better than bonds

“If you save money, you can buy bonds, you can buy a farm, you can buy an apartment/house — or you can buy a part of an American business,” Buffett said in February. “And if you buy a 10-year bond now, you’re paying over 40 times earnings for something whose earnings can’t grow. You compare that to buying equities, good businesses, I don’t think there’s any comparison.”

Clearly, even as Buffett himself has said, anything can happen in markets. If bond interest rates overtake stock market returns, then this advice no longer holds. “But I would say this: If the 10-year stays at 2.30 [percent interest rate] and it would stay there for 10 years, you would regret very much not having bought stocks now,” Buffett said in February.

“The one thing I’m sure of is that overtime, stocks from this level will beat bonds from this level,” Buffett told “Squawk Box” October 2017. “Stocks [have] been so much more attractive than bonds for a long time now.”

4. You can’t time the market
