Let us mention 1 of the Best Laptops Under 40k (₱40,000) in the Philippines this year of 2021
Here is another Asus brand laptop for you. It comes with an Intel Core i5-Processor up to 3.60 GHz of speed. Compared to the ₱30,000 laptop which we have blogged about, it has more processing power, which means faster speed.
At this price point, we have a bigger storage of 256 SSD Gen 3 PCIe in addition to 1 TB of HDD. This can give you more storage if you are planning to install more apps aside from your usual programs.
also, you can observe the additional ports that it gives you. It has 3.0 and 2.0 USB ports which help you access your other external hard drives and flash drives. Moreover, the HDMI port which you can set up to add an extra monitor to you, otherwise, for your presentation needs.
One noticeable upgrade is the NVIDIA GeForce MX330 Integrated graphics. With this, you can somehow play with light to medium settings of games. According to NVIDIA, the MX330 “accelerates your laptop for work and play”. In addition, “expect up to 2x faster performance over the latest and best-integrated graphics for faster photo editing, video editing, and gaming.”

HDD | |
Memory | 4GB Soldered DDR4-2666 + 4GB SO-DIMM DDR4-2666 |

Screen Size | 14″ FHD (1920×1080) TN 220nits Anti-glare |
Weight | 1.5Kg |
Price | ₱ 37, 990.00 |
Our next laptop under ₱40,000 is Lenovo IP Slim 3 81W30074PH / 75. We can observe that it has no HDD. However, it comes with 2 x NVMe. I think it is also a good alternative to having 1 SSD and 1 HDD when it comes to speed. But for me, I would compliment this laptop if it has larger storage on D: drive.
Additionally, you can notice it has a built-in card reader which is absent in the ASUS Laptop above. Having a built-in card reader is a big help. Especially if you are dealing with different sizes of storage cards. If you are a photographer or a videographer, you can easily plug-in the storage device from your equipment for faster transferring of files.
Out of the box, it has 8GB memory, the same as the ASUS. It weighs 1.5kg, 0.3kg lighter than the ASUS. But, it has a lower screen size of 14″ compared to 15.6″ of the Asus above. In any case, it is not a big difference.
This could be the 2nd Best Laptops Under 40k (₱40,000) in the Philippines this year of 2021.

Our last laptop under ₱40,000 comes from Dell. The Dell Vostro 3405. Its processor is AMD Ryzen 5 which has 4 cores and clocking speed up to 3.7GHz. It comes with 256GB of SSD Storage but no second storage (D: drive). Also, it has the Vega 8 integrated graphics from AMD. Expect a seamless performance of these compatible devices.
Moreover, it has lower memory compared to Lenovo and Asus laptops we have mentioned here. Don’t you worry, this laptop supports an upgrade.
It is a little bit heavier than the Lenovo IP Slim 3 81W30074PH (1.5KG) and lighter than the Asus X509JP EJ128TS (1.8KG). It has a net weight of 1.59KG Moreover, one noticeable thing about this is the RJ45 ethernet. This port supports wired connection into any devices such as your routers and switches. Lastly, it has the same screen size as the Lenovo.
Wrap Up
For 2021, these are my top choice of laptops below ₱ 40, 000.00. Like what I’ve mentioned earlier, these laptops can give you an extra boost in your performance. It can give you extra storage, faster processing power, and somehow good graphics for photo and video editing.
My first choice would always be the brand with 2 storages. In this case, the ASUS’ X509JP EJ128TS, X509JP EJ127TS. Additionally, it’s a laptop with larger screen size.
