So, you are looking for the Best Laptop for Teachers in 2022 in the Philippines. Since the pandemic emerged, many teachers and other professions started to purchase laptops for their online classes. Also, many teachers bought laptops for their families for online learning as well.
In this blog post, we will be identifying four (4) laptops that you can buy for your daily teaching needs. Don’t you worry, 1 of these 4 laptops I recommended were bought by various teachers in our city and gave me good feedback?
Basically, what I have assumed as a teacher, you’re probably using Microsoft Office Suites such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and Powerpoint. Furthermore, the laptop will be used for daily web browsing. You are not able to use a laptop for gaming and other heavy-duty renderings.
However, if you are planning to purchase a gaming computer, you may want to visit the related articles below. These aren’t laptops, but they are personal computers (PC) that you can build.

The ASUS releases in 2ndQ of 2021 their brand new Php 30,000 edition of a laptop, featuring the old school, Optical Disk Drive, but embedded with a Fingerprint sensor for more secure login.
As we can observe from the above table of specifications, there has been no significant increase in the CPU’s performance, having the same speed as its predecessor. But, It has increased SSD storage, from 128 GB doubling to 256GB of SSD. Also, it has 1TB of HDD for additional storage.
It is full of ports. USB 3.0, USB 2.0, VGA ports, HDMI port, Ethernet Port, SD Card Slot, and the old school Optical Disk Drive.
If you really need those ports, it means that you are a hardcore laptop user. In this case, your performance will be compromised. If that’s the case, you should upgrade your laptop to a desktop or a much higher spec laptop.
Moving on, what we love about this laptop is the added security feature. The fingerprint sensor. Nobody can open your laptop, without your fingerprint. Since everyone has a unique fingerprint, you and only you own the laptop.
It is much lighter than the earlier model, so that’s a plus.

The All-New Lenovo IP3 14IIL05 has been release on the 2ndQ of 2021. Unlike the ASUS laptop, above, it has fewer ports. It only has 2 x USB 3.1 USB Ports, 1 x SD Card Slot, 1 x USB 2.0, and 1 x HDMI port. This Lenovo laptop doesn’t come with an optical disk drive, which for me is a good choice.
It has a smaller 14″ screen display and is lighter in terms of overall weight compared to its predecessor.
There is nothing new in its CPU, HDD, and SSD size, unless you want an upgrade.
Hopefully, we will be seeing the fingerprint sensor on the base model of the laptop. Having this kind of security feature makes the user comfortable.
All in all, there is no huge increase or update on this laptop, only the fingerprint sensor, if it is included in the base model.

This will be my first choice for the best laptops for teachers this year. It has SSD and HDD with 8GB DDR4 Memory. The good thing about having separate storage is number 1, SSD gives you a boost in booting up the laptop. Also, if you are dealing with huge numbers of files, you can save them on drive D: or HDD storage. Remember, drive C: is for OS and applications, while drive D: is for files and folders.
You can also multi-task on this laptop. It has 8GB of memory. You can open up to 10 files of MS’s applications simultaneously. However, it is not recommended. Just open files you only need. It also comes with an HDMI port. This is good if you want to add a second monitor or wanting to use a projector for presentation.

The second laptop will be from Dell. It has the same processing power as the ASUS X515JA EJ405T. Furthermore, it has the same storage size of 1TB HDD. On the other hand, it has doubled the drive C: storage, having 256Gb of storage. Meaning you can install more apps.
In addition, it has an ethernet port compared to ASUS. It’s more lightweight weighing only 1.64KG. However, you will be having a smaller screen. It also comes with an HDMI port to set up a second monitor for a larger viewing experience.
It has an ethernet port, double the storage capacity, lightweight, but smaller screen size compared to ASUS in Number 1.
Lenovo IP 3 15IIL05
CPU | Intel Core i3-1005G1 Processor 4M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz |
SSD | 512GB PCIe Gen3 x2 SSD |
HDD | |
Memory | 4GB DDR4 Memory |
Ports | HDMI Port | Type-C USB 3.2 (Gen 1), Ethernet Port, Audio Jack & Card Reader |
Operating System | Windows 10 Home |
Screen Size | 14.0″ |
Weight | 1.64Kg |
Price | ₱ 29, 990.00 |
Our third laptop is coming from Lenovo. It also comes with Intel Core i3-1005G1 Processor 4M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz which is the same as the previous laptops. You can see that it has 4 times more SSD Storage than ASUS and 2X more storage than DELL. However, it doesn’t come with HDD.
It weighs the same as the Dell having 1.6KG and 14.0″ screen size. Additionally, with the same ports as a Dell laptop. You can also observe that it has a lower memory. Unlike the Asus and Dell with 8GB Memory, it only comes with 4GB.
I do not recommend laptops having only one (1) hard disk/ solid-state drive. However, if it is the brand that we are talking about, it is your choice. I think it is engineered to let the SSD works by adding more storage and decreasing the memory. However, it doesn’t work well for me depending on my analysis.

Wrap up and Recommendation
Honestly, we are currently using ASUS X515JA Laptop, and this is what I recommend. Basically, you do not need a large SSD Storage. Since you are a teacher you don’t have to download and install unnecessary apps.
The good thing about ASUS is that it has a larger screen and additional HDMI ports for the secondary screen. Actually, it is my brand of choice.
Apps you are only using are as follows, MS Office Suite, Chrome, Zoom/MS Teams, no more. Install Photoshop will also work but be ready for lags. You can also Spotify, Netflix, VLC on these laptops.
