The local government of Palayan City developed the 1st COVID 19 Tracking software in Nueva Ecija. It was presented before the local department chiefs last Aug. 13. 2020.
1st Two (2) Confirmed Cases
Palayan City, the capital of the province of Nueva Ecija has been COVID – 19 free until July 18, 2020.
The first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 virus has been officially announced by the Nueva Ecija – Inter-Agency Task Force (NE-IATF) on July 19, 2020.
These confirmed cases have been officially posted on the Palayan City RHU’s page on July 21, 2020, with more detailed information.
Technical Working Group
After the news about the COVID-19 positive cases, Mayor Rianne Cuevas immediately summoned department heads and concerned officials to tackle the situation.

Ang proteksyon, seguridad at kalusugan ng mga palayano ay ilan sa mga pangunahing prayoridad ni Mayor Rianne ngayong panahon ng pandemya.
Ginanap ang pulong sa City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office kung saan ay binigyang diin ni Mayor Rianne ang pagpapaigting ng Contact Tracing sa mga kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID19, ang pagswab at rapid test sa mga nakasama nito, ang tulong sa kanilang mga pamilya, mga quarantine measures, health and safety protocols sa buong lungsod, at ang mga aktibidades ng mga frontliners sa labas ng Palayan City.
Nagtungo din sa naturang pulong si Father Arnold Abelardo, ang Spokesperson ng NE-IATF at nagbigay ng mga update sa sitwasyon ng ating lalawigan. Kanya ring kinikilala ang mga mahahalagang ambag ni Mayor Rianne para sugpuin ang COVID-19.
Makakaasa ang mga palayano na hindi titigil sa pangangalaga at pagprotekta ang ating Ina ng Lungsod Mayor Rianne Cuevas.
Inaasahan din ang kooperasyon, disiplina at ibayong ingat ng bawat palayano.

COVID 19 Contact Tracing System: Mapping, & Data Analysis Tool
Since the 1st confirmed cases of COVID 19 in Palayan City, Mayor Rianne Cuevas directed IT personnel to fast-track the development of a contact tracing software. This software will help the Technical Working Group in tracing, mapping, and analyzing of the COVID 19 cases.
According to the post, “Palayan City is the first in Nueva Ecija and the whole Region III to develop the COVID19 Contact Tracing Computerized System Enabled with GIS Via Virtual Server. Made possible by Mayor Rianne Cuevas.“
This system will, “track the infection of the Covid-19 virus. The database will provide information on the people who contacted the virus as well as the possible infection based on the contact information of the infected person.“
Moreover, “The database will also be the based data for the GIS information of the virus in Palayan City. A graph analysis of the contact information can also be generated.”
Additionally, “A dashboard that can show the rate of infection of the virus in Palayan City is also prompted.”
